      Dougie Hamilton underwent successful surgery on his wrist and is expected to be ready for the start of 2023-24.

      Hamilton announced Tuesday that he had successfully underwent successful surgery to repair a wrist injury on his right arm and will be ready at the start of the 2023-24 season. The 29-year-old is coming off an impressive career-season in New Jersey, where he finished fourth in the NHL in points among defensemen with 74 (22G/52A) and first in SOG (275).

      Ryan Graves (upper-body) will miss Game 4 vs. Carolina after originally being a game-time decision.

      Graves missed the Devils' previous game due to an upper-body injury but was on the ice for morning skate Tuesday and will not play after being a game-time decision ahead of their Game 4 matchup vs. Carolina. The 27-year-old has an assist, seven SOG, four PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through nine games with New Jersey in the playoffs prior to his injury.

      Vitek Vanecek will start Game 4 vs. Carolina.

      Vanecek stopped 26 of 30 shots (.867 SV%) for his first win of the Playoffs as he backstopped the Devils to an 8-4 win in Game 3. The 27-year-old has struggled so far in the playoffs after a strong regular season, with his 1-2-0 record, .845 SV% and 4.02 GAA. He will hope to keep the Devils in the win column and even the series as he takes on the Carolina Hurricanes, who finished the regular season third in the NHL in shots-per-game (34.8).

      Timo Meier is day-to-day with an upper-body injury and will be a game-time decision for Game 2.

      Meier left Game 7 vs. the New York Rangers after just 11:35 TOI after taking a massive hit from Jacob Trouba and was out for Game 1 of Round Two vs. Carolina with an upper-body injury. The 26-year-old is now day-to-day and has been a bit of a letdown in his first playoffs with the Devils, having yet to pick up a point, with 27 SOG, 20 PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through the first season game.
