      Simon Edvinsson had surgery on his left shoulder and is expected to be out for 4 to 6 months.

      Edvinsson had two goals, 40 SOG, 12 PIMs and a -7 plus/minus across nine games in his first showing with the Detroit Red Wings this season but will now be forced to miss 4-6 months as he recovers from left shoulder surgery. The 20-year-old was Detroit's 2021 first-round pick (6th overall) and will hope to have an update as we return for the 2023-24 season.

      Dylan Larkin (lower-body) will draw back into the Red Wings' lineup Thursday.

      Larkin missed the Red Wings' previous contest due to a lower-body injury and will draw back into the Red Wings' lineup Thursday vs. Tampa Bay. The 26-year-old has 32 goals, 47 assists, 241 SOG, 45 PIMs and a -4 plus/minus through 79 games this season prior to his injury.

      Husso was pulled after allowing three goals on five shots (.400 SV%) in just 12:10 TOI for his third-straight loss as Dallas rocked him in his previous start. The 28-year-old started the year off strong but has greatly fizzled out recently, leading to his 26-21-7 record, .896 SV% and 3.09 GAA. He takes on the Tampa Bay Lightning, who are in the middle of a four-game losing skid but are still eighth in the NHL in goals per game (3.4).

      The Red Wings have recalled Danny O'Regan from Grand Rapids (AHL) under emergency conditions.

      O'Regan had 17 goals, 31 assists, 16 PIMs and a -21 plus/minus in 64 games between Grand Rapids (AHL) and San Diego (AHL) but has been recalled to Detroit under emergency conditions Tuesday. The 29-year-old centre has previously played in 30 NHL games before this season, picking up a goal and five assists.

      Erne has eight goals, 10 assists, 53 SOG, 21 PIMs and a -11 plus/minus through 60 games played this season but will miss Monday's game vs. Dallas due to an undisclosed injury. The 27-year-old is considered day-to-day for the time being until the Red Wings announce more news of the injury.
