Kochetkov will start on Thursday vs. Colorado.

Kochetkov returned from a nearly month-long absence in a 16-save (.842 SV%) loss to Vancouver in his previous start and will take the crease again Thursday in a tough showdown vs. Colorado. The 24-year-old has struggled since being called upon full-time in Frederik Anderson's absence, with his 11-8-3 record, 2.60 GAA and .898 SV%. He takes on the Colorado Avalanche Thursday, who lost both of their back-to-back matchups in their return from the All-Star break but are still 2nd in the NHL in goals per game (3.76).

Raanta will start Thursday vs. New Jersey.

Spencer Martin was stellar in his Hurricanes debut last night, a 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins, but Raanta will tend the twine on Thursday, the back end of a back-to-back. After a forgettable start to the season that resulted in being placed on waivers with an atrocious .855 SV% in his first 15 games (7-5-1), Raanta has rebounded nicely, allowing three or fewer goals in six games (3-2-1), posting a still unimpressive but significantly improved .898 SV%. Despite playing last night, the Hurricanes are -155 home favourites against a struggling New Jersey Devils club

Martin will start in Boston on Wednesday.

Martin will make his Hurricanes debut on Wednesday after being claimed off waivers from the Blue Jackets last week. Given Antti Raanta's struggles this season, Martin could make a case for some extra work in the absence of Pyotr Kochetkov (concussion), though he didn't look particularly strong during his time in Columbus this season. The 28-year-old netminder posted a 3-8-1 record along with an .887 SV% and a 3.65 GAA in 13 appearances with the Blue Jackets. He draws a brutal assignment in his first start as a Hurricane as he travels to Boston to take on the Bruins.

Raanta will start against the Wild on Sunday.

Raanta will make his fourth consecutive start on Sunday as Pyotr Kochetkov continues to be sidelined with a concussion. Raanta has picked up two wins across his three-game stretch as the interim starter, posting an .895 SV% in the process. He has endured one of the worst seasons of his career to date, registering an .867 SV% and a 3.29 GAA across 19 appearances, though he has managed a positive record of 9-6-2 thanks to steady goal support from his fellow Hurricanes. He'll look to stay in the win column on Sunday with Carolina being -190 favourites over the visiting Wild.
