The 15-year-veteran has been having a decent start to his season prior to the injury, picking up two goals and five points along with six PIMs and 12 SOG through nine games.

Oshie was not going to play Thursday, so moving him to IR opened up a roster spot to call Axel Jonsson-Fjallby up from the taxi squad. The move also means that he will miss Saturday's game vs. the Senators.
