The Blackhawks have acquired Nikita Zaitsev, a 2023 second-round pick and a 2026 fourth-round pick from the Senators for future considerations.

Zaitsev will draw back into the Senators lineup on Monday.
Zaitsev has four assists, 10 SOG, eight PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through 23 games this season and will draw back into Ottawa's lineup Monday. The 31-year-old will be in the Senators' lineup for at least the next two weeks as he fills in for the injured Jake Sanderson.
