Aube-Kubel was a second-round pick of the Flyers in 2014 and was a regular member of their team in 2020-21. The 25-year-old had 12 points (3G / 9A) in 50 games last year but was buried on the depth this year. He now heads to Colorado, where he'll likely battle with Kiefer Sherwood for a spot in the bottom-6.

The Flyers have signed Nicolas Aube-Kubel to a two-year, $2.15 million ($1.075 million AAV) contract extension.

Aube-Kubel will return to the Flyers lineup for Game 1 vs. the Islanders.

Aube-Kubel is expected to be a healthy scratch for Game 4.

Aube-Kubel has been recalled from Lehigh Valley (AHL) and is expected to play Sunday.

Aube-Kubel had 16 goals and 14 assists (30 points) in 54 AHL games and appeared in the first nine NHL games of his career with Philadelphia in 2019. The 23-year-old doesn’t have great size but can play a solid two-way game with some offensive flair for the bottom-6. He will likely start 2020 in the AHL but could be one of the Flyers first call-ups.
