Nathan Bastian has been placed on the injured reserve retroactively to November 26th (undisclosed).
Bastian has three goals, five assists, 26 SOG and 15 PIMs across 21 games played but will be on the injured reserve indefinitely. The move allows the Devils the space to call up Nikita Okhotiuk.
Bastian (shoulder) is not expected to play on Monday.
Bastian left Saturday's game vs. The Capitals with a shoulder injury and did not return. Bastian is expected to go for some imaging and could miss some time. Alexander Holtz was recalled from the AHL and is expected to replace Bastian in the lineup on Monday.

The Devils claimed Nathan Bastian off of waivers from the Kraken on Thursday.
Bastian was selected in the expansion draft but returns to New Jersey on waivers. Bastian has scored one goal with one assist in 12 games with Seattle.
Bastian will draw back into the Kraken lineup on Thursday.

Bastian is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.
Bastian suffered a lower-body injury vs. the Penguins on Thursday and is going to miss "some time" according to head coach Lindy Ruff. Pavel Zacha is expected to return from a minor injury to replace Bastian in the lineup on Saturday afternoon.
