Minnesota has signed Jujhar Khaira to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000.
Khaira had six goals, eight assists, 31 PIMs, 59 SOG, and a -11 plus/minus through 51 games played in 2022-23 with the Chicago Blackhawks and has signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 with Minnesota. The 29-year-old left-winger is joining his third team (EDM, CHI) in his ninth NHL season and has 33 goals, 80 points and 229 PIMs across 336 career games played.

Khaira underwent surgery on his lower back on Tuesday and is expected to miss 10-to-12 weeks.
The surgery effectively ends Khaira's season in Chicago, unless they plan on suiting him up for the final few games of the season. Khaira had been out since January 17th and they elected to go with surgery, likely ending his season with three goals and no assists in 27 games.
