The Capitals have recalled Joe Snively from Hershey (AHL).
Snively has nine goals, 16 assists, six PIMs and a +10 plus/minus through 31 games with the Hershey Bears (AHL) this season and has been recalled by Washington Monday. The 27-year-old returns to the Capitals, where he has a goal and three points already this season through nine games played.

Joe Snively will be a healthy scratch Wednesday vs. Buffalo.
Snively has a goal, two assists, 13 SOG, and a +1 plus/minus through nine games played but will be the odd man out of the Capitals' lineup Wednesday vs. Buffalo. The 27-year-old is replaced by a healthy Alex Ovechkin (lower body) in Washington's lineup.

The 26-year-old forward was an undrafted free agent out of Yale University and made it to the NHL this year after two and a half AHL seasons. Snively has four goals and three assists (seven points) in 12 games with the Capitals this season.

Snively is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.
Snively suffered an upper-body injury vs. the Maple Leafs on Monday and is expected to miss multiple weeks. Daniel Sprong will replace Snively in the lineup on Thursday.
