Tinordi has two goals, six assists, 32 SOG, 40 PIMs and a -17 plus/minus through 44 games this season and has signed a 1-year, $1.25 million contract extension with the Chicago Blackhawks. It is the first team the 31-year-old has stuck with, as he has played for six teams in the last seven seasons.

Tinordi is dealing with a reoccurring hip injury and is expected to come out of the lineup on Tuesday. It's unclear who will replace Tinordi, but it will likely be Ian Mitchell or Wyatt Kaiser. Tinordi has had a difficult time with injuries this season, missing 31 of 73 games (42.5%) so far.

Tinordi left the Blackhawks' previous game vs. Montreal after just 3:03 TOI due to a lower-body injury and has been placed on the injured reserve Wednesday. The 30-year-old has two goals, three assists, 17 SOG, 20 PIMs, and a -6 plus/minus through 27 games prior to the injury.

Tinordi suffered a lower-body injury early in Tuesday's game in Montreal and was ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Maple Leafs. Look for Ian Mitchell to draw back into the Blackhawks' lineup to replace him.

Tinordi will miss an undisclosed amount of time after taking a snapshot to the face in Chicago's previous contest. The 30 year-old was on pace to complete his most amount of games in a season as he has never surpassed 28 games played, and was already at 25 with two goals and five points throughout.

Tinordi has been out since Nov.25th due to a hip injury and was placed on the injured reserve Thursday. The veteran defenseman was having a career season as he had two goals, and three assists with 15 PIMs in 20 games prior to the injury which is already career-highs in goals and points.

Tinordi was with the Rangers last season but only appeared in seven NHL games, spending most of the year in the AHL (32 GP). The 30-year-old defenseman will provide some toughness and depth to the Blackhawks' blueline, but he likely won't have a regular role early in the season.
