Kuznetsov has 11 goals, 39 assists, 139 SOG, 44 PIMs and a -10 plus/minus through 61 games this season but will be a game-time decision due to illness Wednesday as Washington takes on Carolina.
Suspension
The NHL has suspended Evgeny Kuznetsov for one game for high-sticking Kyle Burroughs on Monday.
Kuznetsov will miss Thursday's game in Ottawa but will be eligible to play Saturday vs. the Kings. Expect Connor McMichael to replace Kuznetsov in the lineup vs. the Senators.
Kuznetsov (undisclosed) will play Monday vs. the Canucks.

The Capitals announced that Kuznetsov will not participate in the morning skate and will be a game-time decision vs. the Canucks. If Kuznetsov can't play, Connor McMichael will likely make his season debut.

The Capitals have activated Evgeny Kuznetsov from COVID-19 protocol and is expected to play Wednesday.
Kuznetsov missed the last three games while in COVID-19 protocol but is expected to play tonight vs. the Predators. Kuznetsov is expected to be back on the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson and comes in with 30 points (9G / 21A) in 28 games this season.
Kuznetsov has been added to the COVID-19 protocol list.
Kuznetsov will miss Wednesday's game vs. the Blackhawks as he tested positive for COVID-19 for the third time. This is a tough break for the Capitals, who were finally expected to get Nicklas Backstrom back in the lineup on Wednesday.
Kuznetsov will draw back into the Capitals lineup for Game 3.

Kuznetsov was activated from the COVID-19 reserve list and is eligible to play Tuesday.
Kuznetsov has missed the last eight games on the COVID-19 reserve list but was back on the ice for practice on Monday. Kuznetsov took reps on the fourth line, so it looks like Washington may ease him back in the lineup after a bout with COVID-19.

Kuznetsov was among four Capitals added to the COVID-19 protocol list on Wednesday after it was determined they were in a hotel room together during the team's recent road trip. "Right now the players are in quarantine and, at this point, I believe it's four games and then under review and so we'll go from there," head coach Peter Laviolette said. In addition to Kuznetsov, Alex Ovechkin, Dmitry Orlov and Ilya Samsonov are all expected to be out as well.
