Chiarot will be out 6-to-8 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair his fractured hand.
Chiarot fractured his hand in a fight last Wednesday and underwent surgery on Monday. The Canadiens announced that he'll miss at least six weeks, so expect Victor Mete to remain in the lineup and for Alexander Romanov to play an expanded role.
