Andrea Athanasiou has re-signed a two-year, $4.25 Million deal with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Athanasiou had 20 goals, 20 assists, 175 SOG, 34 PIMs and a -29 plus/minus through 81 games in his first season in Chicago in 2022-23 and has signed a two-year, $4.25 million ($2,175,000 AAV) contract extension to stay with the Blackhawks. The 28-year-old centre has played for four teams across eight season amassing 459 games played.

Andreas Athanasiou will not play Tuesday due to a personal matter (family funeral).
Athanasiou will miss his first game of the 2022-23 season Tuesday due to a family funeral. The 28-year-old has produced at his usual rate in his first season in Chicago, with six goals, three assists, 49 SOG and 20 PIMs through 26 games played.
The Blackhawks have signed Andreas Athanasiou to a one-year deal worth $3.0 million.
Athanasiou (undisclosed) will return to the Kings lineup on Saturday.
Athanasiou has been out since March 10th but will play Saturday vs. the Blue Jackets. Athanasiou, who has 14 points (9G / 5A) in 22 games this season, will skate on the top line with Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe.
